The Friulian Riviera
The strip of plains between the Risorgive line and the sea is given this name. The cultivation of the vine has historically avoided the sandy, wet and reclaimed areas so the most suitable soils are found along the ancient “Via Annia”. This road, whose route is two kilometers south of our vineyards, was built in 131 BC by the ancient Romans to join Adria with Aquileia, avoiding the wet and impassable areas. The Adriatic Sea and the splendid Marano Lagoon are just a few kilometers away, positively influencing the climate.
