Respect for the environment is a priority for us. We have adopted the SQNPI certification (Integrated Production National Quality System), which guarantees compliance with the rules both in the cultivation of the vine and in the production of wine.
The company is also equipped with a photovoltaic system, which covers electricity consumption. The existing hedges were maintained and further tree plants were planted with the aim of minimizing the carbon footprint deriving from the activity. In the management of the inter-row, permanent grassing was chosen, with the return of the biomass produced to the soil. This management made it possible to greatly increase the organic substance in the soil. The control of grass and suckers is carried out with mechanical means only, without using either herbicides or desiccants. Fertilization is reduced to a minimum and low toxicity products are used for the treatments, included in a list established by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region.
